About Scenic Arts & Crafts

Welcome to Scenic Arts & Crafts.  We produce fine quality scenic backdrops, murals and carving from a studio in Seattle.  Scenic Arts and Crafts is run by Ruth Gilmore.  Ruth has been painting scenery for over 20 years at a variety of theatrical venues  including Seattle Repertory Theatre, Seattle Opera, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Seattle Childrens Theatre, Intiman, A Contemporary Theatre, Steppenwolf as well as for film and television.

This site contains a number of galleries with more information about the projects. Projects include McCoy Rigby Peter Pan,  Whim W’him thrOwn,  backdrops for  I Only Have Eyes for You and multiple carving projects for  the Seattle Repertory Theatre and Pacific Northwest Ballet.
